I can breathe

Moved out of the last place I lived, which was a rather unfortunate living situation, into my new place. I am alone with hardwood floors and an amazing yard. Life is fabulous. Survived my first year of law school and come 2011 I'm going to make a LOT of changes. Including, blogging and updating my website more often. Thanks for all the supportive emails, ya'll are really awesome. I'll post some more holiday photos soon.

Sometimes it's pretty easy to blame other people for everything that goes wrong, but people have a hand in more than they give themselves credit for. It's hard to be kind to someone who hasn't been kind to you, but those are the people you really have to go out of your way to take care of, chances are they've been hurt enough by others already.

There is however, a difference between caring for someone and letting them walk all over you. It's times when you see little glimpses into a person's personality when you really start to realize there is so much more to a person than what you see. Designer jeans may make your legs look nice, a leather jacket may make you look bold, but sometimes, just sometimes, the sexiest thing a person can wear is a backbone.

Boom Boom Move Move

Terribly mild summer here in SoCal. Although, I can't complain, I'm not a fan of heat waves and the scorching sun. Luckily, it has been cool enough to the point that I don't feel foolish wearing my bomber jacket and new boots. Summer seasons can be a great time to stock up on winter pieces. I recently bought these boots at a big sale at Nordstroms. They are comfy, not very feminine, and perfect for balancing out a feminine look. I'm wearing a slip as a shirt and a long borrowed skirt from my mother. I don't feel that the maxi style skirt is a particularly flattering one, so I haven't spent any money investing in one...thus the borrowage from my mothers superb closet. 

Big move to LA coming up. Excited. Scared. Excited.

Guess Good

I'm going to be better about posting. Going on a well needed vacation for a few days. I will come back motivated, re-charged, and ready to update more often and pour my heart back into this and helloehya.com. Friend of mine and I have been talking about starting a cooking channel online...two cute girls wearing nice clothes cooking...sounds like a choice idea to me. Everything I wore today was pretty brandless...except for the Stauer watch.

Bumble Bumble Berkeley

Got a great hair cut, and some new Bumble and bumble products. Everyone seems to be sick around me, but I'm slowly recovering from a minor ailment. Staying up in the Bay for a short while to relax, celebrate college graduations for some of my best buddies. Had to pack light since checking in baggage is super expensive. Going to get creative with the minimum pieces I packed, don't have much of a choice really...

A Weight Lifted

I lift weights. I know it isn't the most feminine thing in the world, but I love it. Not a regular type of love, I really love it. Luckily my body doesn't let me beef up too much, but I'm def. no wimp.  Worked out for a few hours (ya I have tendency to go overboard sometimes) today, decided to show off the guns in a cut off Chicago Bulls throw back, cut off shorts, and high heels for a little bit of sex appeal. The gorgeous SoCal weather is allowing me to be creative with my outfits without of fear of the elements (cold, rain , sleet etc.) Went to the library and checked out a few books. One on the FCC in the 1960's, one on Chinese illegal immigration (felt it would be important given the current debates in the South West), and a motivational book by Nancy Pelosi. Took my books and read at the park for a little bit, I'm a nerd. I plan on celebrating my pseduo-Mexican heritage to the fullest this evening. Sobrero is ready to go. Happy 5 de Mayo my friends.

A Little Cheer.

In an effort to incorporate more color into my wardrobe I recently purchased a bright yellow dress, magenta shirt, and a few other items to spring-afy my wardrobe. Black and grey seem to always be my

go-to colors, but it gets incredibly repetitive.

Summer 2010 preview of Chanel. Gorgeous colors, classic cuts, I needs it. Things to incorporate more in my wardrobe: structured jackets, clogs, romantic loose hair, lingerie.

There are times

I have an amazing addiction to watches. I almost always wear a watch, mostly because I just love how classic they look, but also because I'm a total space cadet sometimes. When I'm engulfed in a project I adore, I tend to I lose all sense of time. Wearing a watch can sometimes be my only sensibility. I don't own many time pieces, I'm against gluttony, but here's my newest,  courtesy of my father ( I'm pretty sure he's the person that has been my gateway drug to watch addiction).
